The European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) is looking for a Learning Facilitator to guide and help strategic discussions during a critical period for Roma Rights advocacy. Operating under a virtual office model amidst human rights backsliding and diminishing support for Roma rights, the ERRC seeks to ensure the sustainability, relevance, and effectiveness of its programs and operations.

- Location: Remote with up to 5 travel days
- Expected Number of Days: Approximately 40 days, including travel

This engagement offers an opportunity to shape the ERRC’s future in a critical period for Roma Rights. The facilitator will lead discussions and foster collaboration across the organisation, helping the ERRC develop actionable strategies to strengthen its impact and adapt to current challenges.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Strategic Discussions: Lead initial conversations with ERRC leadership and key stakeholders to define priorities and future directions.
- Design and Implement Learning Methodologies: Develop and propose Terms of Reference tailored to ERRC’s needs, including tools such as surveys and focus groups.
- Analyse and Synthesise Insights: Identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the ERRC’s operational and program work going forward.
- Foster Learning: Foster a collaborative discussion process to improve internal capacity and strategic alignment.
Key Deliverables
- Strategic Approach Document: A detailed Terms of Reference based on initial discussions.
- Data Collection & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitation of agreed discussions to gather insights.
- Learning Seminars: Leading and providing key takeaways and recommendations from seminars.
- Strategic Report: Findings and recommendations for improving the ERRC’s program sustainability, operational effectiveness, and relevance.
Qualifications
- Experience facilitating strategic discussions, particularly in non-profit or human rights sectors.
- Expertise in virtual facilitation and engaging geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong understanding of Roma Rights advocacy, human rights, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, with sensitivity to diverse perspectives.
- Ability to synthesise complex information into actionable strategies.
