Vi är ert vänliga grannskaps”zigenare”, som hyllar romsk identitet och utstött kultur och utövar goda diplomatiska förbindelser med andra marginaliserade samhällen. Vi älskar rebellerna som lever efter sin sanning, även om den utmanar traditionen. Vi älskar också tradition och att hedra våra rötter.
Den här podden är för alla som älskar och stödjer romer och relaterade grupper, och alla som känner sig missanpassade och vill lyfta andra att skapa en vacker gemenskap. Vi har pionjärer inom kultur, mode, konst, litteratur, musik, aktivism, mat och allt gott. Vi avgudar skärningspunkterna mellan kön, sexualitet, andlighet, förmåga och identitet. Vi täcker alla ämnen, från det svåra till det härliga. Låta’ sitter snett och pratar rakt. Värdar är Paulina Verminski och Jessica Reidy aka Jezmina Von Thiele.
Det romska folket är en diasporisk etnisk grupp som ursprungligen kommer från nordvästra Indien, cirka 1000-talet. Nu lever romer över hela världen, och på grund av århundraden av förtryck, slaveri, folkmord och andra grymheter kämpar romer fortfarande för grundläggande mänskliga rättigheter. Vi försöker öka medvetenheten om vilka romer är och lyfta fram romers motståndskraft, kreativitet och kultur.

We love the rebels who are living their truth, even if it challenges tradition. We also love tradition and honoring our roots.
This podcast is for everyone who loves and supports Roma & related groups, and anyone who feels like a misfit and wants to uplift others to create a beautiful community. We feature pioneers in culture, fashion, art, literature, music, activism, cuisine, and everything good. We adore the intersections of gender, sexuality, spirituality, ability, and identity. The Romani people are a diasporic ethnic group originally from north west India, circa the 10th century. Now, Roma live all over the globe, and due to centuries off oppression, slavery, genocide, and other atrocities, Roma are still fighting for basic human rights. We seek to raise awareness of who Roma are, and highlight Romani resilience, creativity, & culture.
