| ERIAC is delighted to announce that Selma Selman has been selected as the laureate of the Tajsa Roma Cultural Heritage Prize 2025. The award was presented on 29 November at the historic Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, during the 4th edition of the Tajsa Award Ceremony & Gala. Selma Selman, a Romani-Bosnian artist known for her powerful multidisciplinary practice, was chosen from an exceptional group of finalists for her bold artistic vision and her commitment to uplifting Roma communities. Her work, spanning performance, painting, and video, challenges stereotypes and expands the global understanding of contemporary Roma experiences. Her long-standing education initiative, Get the Heck to School, further reflects her dedication to creating meaningful change. ERIAC warmly congratulates Selma Selman and extends deep appreciation to all finalists, partners, and supporters who joined us in celebrating this year’s edition of the Tajsa Prize. Tajsa means tomorrow, and this year’s laureate embodies a vibrant, forward-looking future for Roma cultural creativity. |
