Committee of Experts on Roma and Traveller Issues (ADI-ROM) exchange with Roma and Traveller civil society organisations in Strasbourg

On 1-2 April 2025, the Committee of Experts on Roma and Traveller Issues (ADI-ROM) held its 11th meeting in Strasbourg, France, opening the Opre Roma! Month.

The participants to the 19th Meeting of the Council of Europe Dialogue with Roma and Traveller civil society had the opportunity to exchange with the members of ADI-ROM on the topic of the draft Strategy for Roma and Traveller Inclusion (2026-2030) and on combating antigypsysim.

The ADI-ROM also discussed about the draft Recommendation on desegregation and inclusion policies and practices in the field of education of Roma and Traveller children, currently in preparation by a working group consisting of several member states and civil society representatives.

The Committee reflected on the relevance and effectiveness of the Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller inclusion (2020-2025) in each member state, providing guidance for the final review report on the implementation of the aforementioned Strategic Action Plan.

 The next meeting of the Committee will take place on 14-15 October 2025, in Strasbourg (France).
