A thematic visit on implementation, monitoring and evaluation of National Roma Inclusion Strategies was hosted by the Government of Croatia/ Office from 24 to 25 September in Zagreb, with participation of partner countries Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and the Slovak Republic.
The overall objective of the thematic visit was to further identify promising practices at national level in implementing national strategies or action plans on Roma inclusion, that are aligned with priority areas and main lines of action of the Council of Europe Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion (2020-2025).
The thematic visit also aimed to provide a set of recommendations on Roma inclusion policy design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, to effectively foster democratic participation, and to ensure gender and youth mainstreaming. The participants shared initiatives and good practices and exchanged with representatives from the Croatian authorities and civil society organisations.
The ADI-ROM thematic report is foreseen for adoption before the end of 2024.
